The Radium Duo
Curtis and Jackie Biggs founded the Radium Duo as an ensemble to share the joy of music and to produce and perform new works for trombone and piano. Curtis and Jackie Biggs started their journey together studying music at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where they played together in the BYU Wind Symphony. After getting married and graduating, the pair has had many adventures together. Some of these include having their first child born on the day of Convocation when Curtis started his master’s degree at Yale University, and having their second child a short time before moving the family to Seoul, South Korea, where Curtis held a position as Principal Bass Trombonist with Symphony S.O.N.G. (Symphony Orchestra for the Next Generation). After South Korea, the couple moved to Ohio for Curtis to study at Bowling Green State University for a DMA in contemporary music. The duo is currently based out of Utah, where Curtis teaches at Snow College and Jackie teaches privately.
